GOOD START to 2014!
Sam has a busy month in January and prepares for a New Year by meeting some of the local families in the OMSD. Sam looks forward to the Board of Trustees meeting on the 23rd. Here, he takes a break from his schedule to spend time with a family.

LEHIGH ELEMENTARY
On Febuary 21st, Sam and colleagues knowledge Lehigh Elementary for their acceptance into the "No Excuses University Network of Schools". Here, Sam takes a break to remind all OMSD students to keep reading and keep studying.

Sam continues to be involved in our community and supports the efforts of our Hispanic community. Over the years, Sam had be involved in many activities to support our Hispanics in our area. Here, Sam takes time from a meeting to take a picture with Mr Luis A Rojas-President of the Ontario Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Sam and wife Annette take time to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the Cinco de Mayo celebration at De Anza Park in Ontario.
Like Sam and Annette, Marty Crowe and Danny Crowe also attended schools in Ontario and all attended Chaffey High School in Ontario.
For this reason, Sam is very proud of the hard work and dedication from students who attend the OMSD school district.

HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEETING
FELIZ CINCO DE MAYO...
2013-INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE WORLD SCHOOL
In Aug of 2003, Sam and colleagues recognized Bon View Elementary School for its authorization into the International Baccalaureate World School. Under the hard work of Dr. Hammond and support from School Board Members, OMSD hopes to have more IB aproved schools. A proud moment from OMSD families, teachers, Board members, staff, and students!
Sam attended several communities events to show his appreciation for Ontario-Montclair School District teachers, students, and Families.
MENTOR CAMPUS PROGRAM
Sam, along with colleagues, also knowledge and recognize the Student Mentors in the "Student Mentor Program-created to promote positive relationships and healthy middle school campuses- for their excellent work in the School District.
2003-WILTSEY MIDDLE SCHOOL
On Sept. 10th of 2003, Sam participated in the celebration for the completion of the Capitol Building Project at Wiltsey Middle School. Wiltsey is on an academic journey to become an International Baccalaureate World School. Such expansion was necessary since the IB Program is for 6th-8th graders.
OMSD Students "Run" for education
On May 6th, Sam attended the Student Awards banquet at Bon View Elementary School to recognize students and handed Ahievement Medals to Students.
SAM CROWE IN THE NEWS...STUDENTS LEARNING TERRORISM
Sam takes four 6th graders studying "Terrorism" to Ontario Airport to meet with Southwest Airlines, FBI, and TSA to discuss terrorism. Sam also arranged meeting with Canine Security to provide a different scope of education on terrorism. Southwest Airlines flew students to Vegas and back to experience airport security and checkoints. An FBI agent and a TSA agent provided training. After a trip with the students, Sam, accompanied by an IB Mentor, treated the students to dinner to discuss learned material from the day.

APPRECIATION FOR TEACHERS
MENTOR CAMPUS PROGRAM
Sam continues to have a very busy May. He attended Vernon Middle School first spectacular Choir Program & Annual Dance Program to support kids in OMSD. Here, Sam takes a break from his heavy schedule to talk to a classroom full of kids and read a favorite book.
Sam is a strong supporter of Veterans. Sam wrote a letter to the City of Upland asking to recognize Purple Heart Veterans. On the day of the recognition during an Upland City Council Meeting, a big applause for the Purple Heart Veterans ensued. We are greatful for all men and women who have served in our military to keep our country strong and safe.

SAMUEL CROWE ATTENDS "FIESTAS PATRIAS"
Sam attends Fiesta Patrias at De Anza park on September 14th to celebrate Mexico's Independence Day. "Father Miguel Hidalgo's famous Grito speech is very much alive today in Latin America and celebrated as Mexico's Independence Day. I was glad to be there to celebrate this event and support our community". Sam

August and September have been very busy months for Sam. His involvement in our community, the School Board, and running his campaign are taking most f Sam's time and he continues to work hard to support the students and families in OMSD.
Sam's campaign yard signs have arrived. Recently, Sam met with with a group of volunteers to help staple campaign signs and enjoy his time with his friends and gracious committee volunteers.
